Privacy policy
This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you visit elevate.swiss or get in touch with us, why we do so and what rights you have. It is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, takes account of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Controller
ELEVATE Development AG, Huobstrasse 3, 8808 Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland, email: info@elevate.swiss. You can also reach us at this address with any questions about data protection.
Principles and legal bases
We process personal data only to the extent necessary for the purpose in question and comply with the principles of lawfulness, transparency, proportionality and data security. Where the GDPR applies, we base processing on steps taken prior to entering into a contract or on the performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), on our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), or on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Visiting the website and hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., USA. When you open a page, technically necessary data such as your IP address, the date and time of access, the page requested, the previously visited page and information about your browser and operating system are processed in server log files. This data is used solely to deliver the website and keep it stable and secure; we do not combine it with other data. Vercel operates a global server network, so data may also be processed in the USA and other countries (see section 7).
No cookies of our own, no tracking, locally hosted fonts, map from Google Maps
We set no cookies of our own on the public website and use no analytics or tracking tools and no social media plug-ins. Fonts are loaded from our own server; there is no connection to external font providers such as Google Fonts. On the "Contact" and "About" pages we embed a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). As soon as the map loads, data such as your IP address, browser and device details and the page visited is transferred to Google, including to the USA (see section 7), and Google may set its own cookies. We use the map to make our location easy to find. For more information, see Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy (opens in a new window)). Our address is also listed without a map in the legal notice. Only the password-protected editorial area uses a technically necessary session cookie for signed-in editors.
Forms for enquiries, property offers and applications
When you write to us using a form, we process the data you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number, details about your property or your professional background, and your message. To transmit it, we use the Web3Forms service, which forwards your entries by email to info@elevate.swiss. The provider may also process the data outside Switzerland and the EEA (see section 7). We use your information solely to deal with your enquiry. Application documents are used only for the recruitment process concerned.
Contact by email
If you send us an email, we process the information it contains in order to answer your enquiry and any follow-up questions.
Transfers abroad
Some service providers may process personal data in countries whose level of data protection is not equivalent to that of Switzerland, in particular the USA. In such cases we rely on recognised safeguards, namely the European Commission's standard contractual clauses in the form recognised for Switzerland, or the provider's certification under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
Disclosure to third parties
We do not pass your personal data on to third parties unless this is necessary to deal with your enquiry and you have consented, we are legally obliged to do so, or the recipients are carefully selected service providers acting on our behalf, for example for hosting, form delivery and IT.
Retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose in question or as required by statutory retention obligations. We delete application documents once the recruitment process has been completed, unless you consent to longer retention. Server log files are deleted automatically after a short period.
Data security
Data exchanged between your browser and our website is encrypted (TLS). We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised access.
Your rights
Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right to access your personal data, to have it corrected, erased or its processing restricted, and to receive or transfer your data. You may object to processing and withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. Please send your request to info@elevate.swiss. You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, where the GDPR applies, with a data protection supervisory authority in the EU.
Changes
We may amend this privacy policy at any time. The version published on this website applies.
